During the day workshop at the brilliant West Yorkshire Print Workshop near Huddersfield, we will explore the expressive potential of drypoint, one of the most accessible and immediate intaglio printmaking techniques.
In this hands-on session, you’ll explore how to create unique prints by scratching, sanding, and scoring directly onto clear plastic plates. Drawing inspiration from your own photos or sketches, we’ll experiment with both line work and surface inking to create interesting artworks. With a focus on painterly inking methods, you’ll learn how to build depth, tone, and texture into the linear image.
