Phoenix studios workshop Sept 2022
The beautiful workshop space at the Phoenix studios,Townsey
In 2021 ceramic artist James Ort who runs Phoenix studios in Townsey Oxfordshire reached out and invited me to come and teach a weekends card collagraph course. I was very flattered to be asked and upon hearing more about the studio felt it was a good fit and Id love to teach there.
We had a wonderful weekend - experimenting with card and packaging to create a huge variety of prints - everyone was keen to work with wildlife and bird images and that suited me just fine, we planned out our work and began carving, adding textures and cutting out the plates.
Everyone worked hard and I hope they were happy with there first attempts at card collagraph printmaking, I was extremely impressed with everyones work.
Thanks to James and the Phoenix studio for hosting me and making me feel so welcome and looked after, hopefully I can come back sometime in future.
